Sumayya Soni studied at the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS) graduating with an Honours degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Therapy in 2006. In 2009 she completed an Honours degree in English Language and Literature at Wits University and graduated with distinction. From 2010 Sumayya gained extensive experience working in various settings; in private clinics and in private practice in both Audiology and Speech-Language Therapy. She also worked for a short period in the publishing industry; writing and editing, and then as a freelance writer and editor.
Sumayya has always been interested in helping people and in 2013 realised that her passion was in Audiology and Speech-Language Therapy and in contributing and working in the medical field. She made her passion for helping people and her love of the hearing and communication sciences her sole focus and purpose and has been working in this field whole-heartedly ever since.
Towards the end of 2013 she focused the summation of her energy into the opening of an Audiology practice at the Parkview Medical Suites. She is also accredited for Speech-Language Therapy at Garden City Clinic.
Sumayya continues to strive to help both children and adults with hearing as well as communication difficulties to the best of her abilities.

I am a registered biokineticist with the Biokinetics Association of South Africa (BASA) as well as a member of the South African Sports Medicine Association (SASMA) and the Health Professions Council Southern Africa (HPCSA). I aim to help people recover from injuries and return to activities of daily living. I am currently completing my masters in biokinetics at the University of the Free State (UFS). I have worked with many elite athletes as well as the average Joe or Jane and treat each person the same. My passion is knee injuries as well as posture correction and back conditions, but I treat all conditions from acute injuries to chronic conditions
I am passionate about sports, play golf and I love my running. I am a family man. I too have had serious injuries which allow me to identify and empathize with my patients through the rehabilitation process. I pride myself in being ethical and reliable with all my patients and strive to provide the best clinical treatment for them as well as providing education about their individual conditions.

Gabrielle studied dietetics at Stellenbosch University and after finishing her Community service in Northern KZN decided to start working in Johannesburg. She practices as a clinical dietician in a private practice as well as working with the food industry and various corporates.
Areas of special interest include: Weight loss, allergies, healthy eating for chronic diseases, eating for the family and sports nutrition.
When Gabrielle is not consulting, or seeing patients, she enjoys spending time in the kitchen. Other passions include playing golf as often as possible, doing yoga, as well as even trying a creative hand at sewing, woodwork and design.

I am an Educational Psychologist and I help students of all ages who are experiencing problems that hinder their successful learning and participation in school-related and other activities. I conduct full scholastic and emotional assessments to identify difficulties that impact the learning ability and personal development. The assessment findings help me draw up personalised intervention strategies and management programmes to help address these difficulties and challenges.
I utilise a variety of therapeutic approaches like, Narrative Therapy techniques, Solution-focused Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and BWRT within my therapy and counselling, tailoring it to the individuality of each client.
I also specialise in educator training and coaching, school-based workshops, parental support during child interventions, and help adults devise more effective strategies for parenting.
A few of the common areas I work with include: psycho-educational assessments, emotional and behavioural assessments, subject and career choice assessments, school-readiness assessments, trauma counselling, grief and bereavement counselling, learning support and mentoring.

Azeemah studied Speech and Hearing Therapy at the University of Witwatersrand graduating in 2008. As well as being a published academic (2011), she has completed a basic and advanced Neuro-Developmental Training (NDT) course and has extensive knowledge and experience in the field of early intervention. She has completed the “It Takes Two to Talk” training hosted by the world renowned Hanen Centre and Masters’ degree in Early Childhood Intervention. My professional knowledge and skills are consistently evolving through continued professional development (CPD) accredited articles and courses.
A Speech-Language Therapist evaluates and assists people in developing their communication abilities as well as treat speech, languages, swallowing, and voice disorders. Speech-Language therapy services include prevention, identification, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation within a variety of settings.
